What ARE These Beautiful Things?!
Put simply, tie necklaces are repurposed elegance in the form of fashion accessories. Ella and Mom, Lee, search for ties of all eras and pair them with vintage brooches, upcycled fabrics and curated embellishments to create one-of-a-kind statement pieces.
The necklace component is removable, so you are able to style the one we've paired with the tie by wearing it alone, or you can swap in a different style and length.
Almost all the brooches are vintage, some antique, and a few more modern. We refurbish brooches when necessary — an art in itself with painstaking care to replace missing crystals or pearls, polish/clean metals and touch up finishes.

Giving Back
We donate $10 per tie necklace to The Children's Hunger Project, a nonprofit that helps feed hungry children. The sale of 20 tie necklaces feeds one child in this program for an entire year! Ella has been fundraising and packing food/supporting this organization since she was 5 years old.

For the main design, we paired this patriotic pallette Editions Van Heusen tie with a massive sparkly vintage crystal bouquet (photos do NOT do this one justice) and a smaller crystal brooch. Additional crystals enhance the bottom of the tie.
Option 1 continues the sparkle: We paired it with a vintage red necklace that has various size glass bead and a chain woven throughout. It is adjustable and measures 16.5-19.5"

Teal Double Brooch Masterpiece tie necklace

This is a stunner! Teal and brown pattern tie from Oleg Cassini paired with two vintage brooches and additional adornments — crystals, metal and ceramic. The main brooch is a Napier bouquet of crystals, enamel and pearl that perfectly blend into the tie.
The bottom brooch is an antique with beautiful pearlized cabochon with turquoise colored cabs around it, set in bronze-colored metal. Photo shows how the back doesn't have the locking closure — a style that preceded modern and even vintage spin-locks. To to ensure this brooch remains in place, we added a touch of glue to the pin for a secure fit.
The removable vintage crinkly plastic bead necklace matches perfectly and measures from 25." This can be a bit long if wearing it without going around a collard shirt, but will look great with a collar. We can do a custom design using a tie that is special to you, by pairing it with your brooches and pins/embellishments or pull from our extensive and growing collection to create a priceless keepsake that allows you to wear your story into the next chapter.

Lee's grandfather was a tailor with a dry-cleaning business, so all of her dad's ties are in like-new condition.
