"Marine the Sea Turtle" 8x10 giclee print, limited edition of 250 (hand numbered)
Sea turtles mean so much to us! Some cool facts surrounding this drawing:
We attended our first guided "turtle walk" at Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge south of Melbourne Beach in Brevard County, FL, and witnessed some mama turtles coming to shore in pitch blackness to dig a nest and deposit their eggs.
We saw a few mama turtles working hard, flinging sand past the moonlight to dig, then working just as hard to cover their eggs before swimming out to sea.
The only negative was Ella coming home with about 100 bites all over her legs. We suspect a combination of no-see-ums, as we call them here (Mom likes to call them no-see-ums-but-feel-ums) and mosquitos.
Ella named this turtle Marine after the environment in which she lives.
Drawn with pastels on pastel board at age 9.
Each of Ella's prints comes framed in an 11x14 acid-free mat, usually black or white, and has a signed certificate of authenticity. The matted print can be dropped right into any standard 11x14 frame available at your local craft store. Or you can move the print to another mat of your choice or get it custom framed.
Select either signed or unsigned.
If you select signed, Ella will add her signature to the print.
