"Shelly" hatched on World Ocean Day 2022.
Ella wanted to draw this sea turtle hatchling as she prepares to do her first guided turtle walk with the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge in Brevard County, Florida. The tour guides educate about nesting areas on the beach and how turtles interact with our environment.
Florida is home to almost 90% of sea turtle nesting in the U.S. It’s a huge topic of consciousness for us coastal dwellers. No lights can flood the beach during nesting season, which is May to October. And never disturb the nests.

Each of Ella's prints comes framed in an 11x14 acid-free mat, usually black or white, and has a signed certificate of authenticity. The matted print can be dropped right into any standard 11x14 frame available at your local craft store. Or you can move the print to another mat of your choice or get it custom framed.

Each hand-numbered matted print is further secured against a cardboard backing and protected in a clear bag with the certificate of authenticity. This is shipped to you in a rigid cardboard mailer using USPS first class shipping. USPS estimates delivery in 3-5 business days. If you paid through Ella's online art store website, an automatic email generates (to the email address you entered) when the shipping label is created so you can track delivery.
